MY STORY
How a passion for gardens became a business.
2020
It started in lockdown
Through the COVID years, Bruce turned three decades of design experience to the garden and started BCW. At first, just him, a pencil and a plan.
2021–25
Building it up
One garden at a time. Sloping blocks, heritage gardens, tricky sites and ambitious briefs across Melbourne's east, every challenge sharpening the drawing-led, buildable approach.
2026
Becoming BCW Garden Design & Maintenance
BCW Garden Design & Maintenance took shape: design and care under one name, from the same pair of hands, right across Melbourne's east.

Bruce Williams
Three decades in graphic design and advertising before taking the Postgraduate Certificate of Garden Design, finishing with Distinction, through the Australian Academy of Garden Design. Bruce does the design himself: composition, planting, and the working drawings every garden is built from.
